Understanding EdgeRank in Facebook: great podcast

Edge-from-U2I posted recently about the often misunderstood topic of Facebook’s EdgeRank algorithm and many marketers I meet still don’t appreciate the crucial role it plays in determining which of your fans will see your updates in their Facebook news feed.

Quite simply, if you don’t understand EdgeRank, all your Facebook marketing efforts could be going to waste.

Thankfully, the guys at Site Visibility have recently recorded an excellent podcast that succinctly explains everything you need to know to become a black belt in EdgeRank.

You can listen to the podcast at the Site Visibility site, or simply download the .mp3 file directly from here.

Thanks to Kelvin and Andy for sharing their knowledge with the world :-)

New Digital Marketing Podcast: “The Frost Personality Continuum”

The Digital Marketing podcast logoI regularly listen to The Digital Marketing podcast by Target Internet on my commute to and from work, and recently recorded a guest interview for them which has been released today.

You can download the MP3 of this podcast from here: The Frost Personality Continuum

I recommend: subscribe to The Digital Marketing podcasts if you’re interested in staying abreast of new developments in digital marketing. Daniel Rowles and Ciaran Rogers share a wealth of knowledge in every episode. Sadly, the most recent episode mostly features me talking nonsense. You can subscribe via iTunes, Zune or other popular podcasting platforms. The RSS feed is RSS logo here.

BBC Podcast: The Secret History of Social Networking

It’s not much of a secret to those us in “the business” but I’ll bet even you will learn something new by listening to this three-part podcast series from the BBC, presented by their technology correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones.

I really enjoyed this short series. Have a listen.
