SEO tip: link building through online generosity

It’s Monday, but I only just had time to watch this nice little ‘Whiteboard Friday’ video from SEOmoz. The first tip from Rand Fishkin is very close to my heart and relates to one of my recent posts on this blog. As Rand explains, giving testimonials to others can be a great way to boost the search engine ranking of your own site. The key is to be honest and play fair; there’s no point giving testimonials or reviews or feedback about stuff that you don’t care about. If you do, you’ll instantly lose credibility and your lack of authenticity will be as transparent as an invisible window.Tip for the week: try out a little online generosity and see how “give and ye shall receive” (Rand’s words, not mine) could work for you.
